To help users find their way in the often complex environments of major stations, SNCF Gares & Connexions partnered with Wemap to design an innovative mapping solution, fully integrated into the official SNCF app. This large-scale initiative aims to make journeys smoother, clearer, and more stress-free by highlighting available services in each station and guiding travelers at every step of their journey.
The service responds to a real and pressing need: enabling each traveler to easily find their way through complex spaces—often spanning multiple levels and offering a wide range of services, shops, and connections to various modes of transport.
Thanks to the integration of Wemap maps into SNCF’s digital ecosystem, users can:
📍 Instantly locate key points of interest and useful services (toilets, elevators, ticket counters, shops, lockers, etc.)
🚶♂️ Calculate indoor routes (within the station) or outdoor routes (to parking areas, bus stops, metro stations, etc.)
📱 Access station maps directly from the SNCF Ma Gare app without switching platforms
The maps are detailed, multi-level, and fully interactive, designed for quick and easy use on mobile or tablet. Where available, indoor geolocation allows users to orient themselves in real time—even in large, multi-story stations.
